My Stockport yoga classes are small, friendly and relaxed, offering a welcoming space to slow down, move mindfully and reconnect with yourself. Come as you are and take a little time just for you. Each week we explore a different theme, bringing a little variety and inspiration to our practice.
There are no fast flows or pressure to keep up. Instead we focus on gentle movements, linking with the breath and tuning into our bodies. These classes are suitbale for everyone, including complete beginners. You don’t need to be flexible or have any previous yoga experience. Just come and we will slow down, quieten the mind and soothe the nervous system.
It’s your chance to move gently, breathe deeply, have a little fun and leave feeling calmer and more grounded.
About Calmer Yoga
About Me…
My name is Lucy. Yoga has been part of my life for over 30 years. In this time I’ve discovered what a beautiful practice it can be, helping us to build strength and maintain flexibility, while also finding calmness and a deeper connection with ourselves.
I’ve explored a number of different styles of yoga with some amazing teachers, including Iyengar, Bikram style Hot Yoga, Vinyasa and Hatha. My style draws some inspiration from all of these traditions.
I completed by initial 200 hours yoga teacher training with Evolve Yoga Training in 2023 and I am registered with YogaPros (formerly Yoga Alliance Professionals). Since then I’ve continued to deepen my knowledge and completed training in the Breath of Life (40 hours, 2024), Yin Yoga (50 hours, 2025) and Breathwork & Pranayama training (60 hours, 2026).
My aim is to share the benefits of yoga in a way that feels accessible, enjoyable and supportive. I believe that yoga is for everybody, whatever your age, experience or level of flexibility.
